Funny story about Doug’s show:

We were still finding our way (and still are) on the show and he was our first jazz guy. The show went alright … Doug’s humor is pretty dry and I’m a loud mouth, so I had a hard time tracking him during the interview at points. The music was great and Doug did a great job.

The bad part was that Doug performed only ONE original song the other two were covers.

That’s a problem because LoHud.com doesn’t have a broadcast license with ASCAP — and we have no intention of getting one — so after the show it dawned on me that we were going to have to cut the guts out of the ep because if we aired it we’d be on the hook for the copyright fees. That ain’t good.

Anyway, that’s my Doug Monro story. The day I stopped having any problem with telling the crew to stop rolling.
