It’s a great show, and now there’s something even better coming our way: The NEXT Charity Concert Series.
Concerts will be held every first Friday of the month at the Rack ‘n’ Roll Cafe in Stamford, Conn. Tickets are cheap — selling online now for only 5 bucks — and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Good music and a good cause? Win, win in my book.
The first concert is going down this Friday — (Wow! That’s already tomorrow! Nice!) — and will feature the bands Ten Feet Deep at 9 p.m. and Jukebox the Ghost at 10 p.m. Purchase and print out advanced tickets here.
Chris Bro (his voice is just as awesome as his name, by the way, making for the perfect radio host if you ask me…) really digs these two bands, and so I’m excited to check them out.
Here’s a little chat he and I had about the bands, the concert series, what’s still to come, and why he’s trying to confuse people by NOT throwing the first concert on the first of the month, like all others will be from here on out.
But wait, folks. It only gets better.
On the third Friday of every month, the Red Lotus Productions Indy Rock Charity Series will take over the same venue for another night of fresh new music. Red Lotus Productions is a non-profit organization with the mission to basically rock people’s worlds and promote events at no cost to the benefiting charity.
The Red Lotus show will go down next Friday, Jan. 23. On the bill so far is Urban Fetch, a band we know here well.
Thanks for helping to build up a hip music scene close to home, guys. My car isn’t the only thing getting worn out from all the trips to the city…
