Lots of speculation out there on a possible 2009 tour from the Rolling Stones, but nothing firm….yet.

The rumors have been floating around since last year, when they were temporarily shot down by talk of a possible reunion by the Faces, Ronnie Wood’s band before he replaced Mick Taylor in the Stones. According to Billboard, that rumor was put to rest last month by singer Rod Stewart and Flea, the Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ bassist who was reportedly to be in the mix for that project. That seemingly opened the door for Wood to go on the road with the Stones.
Britain’s Daily Express then reported that the Stones could hit the road later this year, a report that was picked up all over the Cyber-globe. Some say it’s a done deal; others say it’s merely rumor. So, take your pick. It depends who you read, and there’s nothing official from the Stones. We’ll keep you up to date.
