Hall of Fame guitarist Carlos Santana is going Vegas.
The 61-year-old guitar legend will kick off a 36-show run at The Joint, the 4,200-seat venue at the Vegas Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, starting on May 27, USA Today reports.
The move puts Santana in the company of Elton John and Celine Dion in doing the Vegas thing — a sure reminder that the rock biz isn’t exactly what we grew up with.

But, in truth, Santana has accomplished everything else a musician could hope for. His 40-year career has included Grammy Awards, critical acclaim and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
His band released their first recording in 1969, the self-titled Santana album, introducing the world to his unique blend of rock, jazz and latin rythms. While always a top-selling act, Santana won new acclaim — and a second lease on his career — with the release in 1999 of the Grammy-winning Supernatural.
His upcoming Vegas shows will be titled “Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits.”
