Police probe mysterious Bonnaroo death

June

Authorities in Tennessee are waiting for autopsy results to determine the cause of death of a man found dead at the site of the Bonnaroo music and arts festival, Rolling Stone reports.

The man, who was said to be in his 20s, was found by cleaning crews after the crowds filed out of the 700-acre festival site at the end of the four-day event earlier this week.

Police aren’t saying much more, other than they believe the man is from Alabama and was found on Tuesday. He was last seen alive at 3 p.m. the day before.

Police said there were no preliminary signs of foul play.

The death was the first at the festival in two years, and the seventh at Bonnaroo in its eight years. Of the earlier fatalities, one was due to a medical condition, one involved a worker who was thrown from a truck, and another involved a fan being struck by a tour bus.

The other deaths were reported as drug-related. There were no deaths at Bonnaroo last year.
