After playing Hartford on Friday and packing the Times Union Center in Albany last night, Grammy-winning rockers Green Day are due to play Madison Square Garden tomorrow night.
They last played the Big Apple in May, in a series of promotional gigs that included an appearance on Good Morning America, an appearance with David Letterman and two fan-club-only shows.
Based on the reviews, the tour has been a great one thus far.

Breakdown has been a smashing success, to say the least. And their live performances behind the album, despite some commentary on the extensive use of pyrotechnics and other arena-rock gizmos, have been widely heralded.
Hopefully, we’ll see for ourselves tomorrow night.
The band Kaiser Chiefs is scheduled to open. The British indie band, which has three albums to its cretid, is touring behind their latest release, Off With Their Heads.
