San Francisco-based Wolfgang’s Vault has announced it will offer more than 800 new live recordings next month, expanding its already massive online music archive.
The site’s “Cracking The Vault Day” on Nov. 3 will feature the release of performances by Santana, Jimi Hendrix, The Ramones, Miles Davis, Twisted Sister and others.
Let’s face it, it’s like the Library of Congress adding a new wing.

If you’re not familiar with the site, it’s time you introduced yourself.
Best known for its catalogue of thousands of live performances, Wolfgang’s Vault is named after legendary promoter Bill Graham, whose real name was Wolfgang Grajonca.
Founded in 2003, the site kicked off by offering Graham’s collection of music. It has since expanded to offer more than a dozen sets of recorded music, including from the famed “King Biscuit Flower Hour” and the historic Newport Jazz shows.
The company’s website offers the performances for download, in addition to selling a wide array of memorabilia and collectibles.
Rest assured the merchandise — as well as the music — comes from varying genres, so there’s something for everybody.
And to think the list is expanding. Good news for music buffs. Check them out at www.wolfgangsvault.com.
