Now it’s the ladies’ turn.
We’ve asked you for your best guitarist, best album and best male singer. Now we want to know who your best female singers are.
Welcome to the fourth Listening Room Readers Poll.
So far our readers and contributors have selected Jimi Hendrix as our top guitar player, Pink Floyd’s classic Dark Side of the Moon as our top album, and Frank Sinatra as our top male singer — a throwback from a different era.
And here we go again: Today we’ll ask you to submit your list of the 5 to 10 songbirds that you consider the greatest of all time. As with our earlier polls, we’re not limiting it by genre or era. We’re asking for any singer, alive or dead, as long as they were women, they sang, and you think they’re among the best.
We’ll tally the votes, with each mention on one of your lists earning the singer one vote. The singer with the most votes at the end of the contest will be named our winner.
Then we’ll post the results in a couple of weeks.
We look forward to hearing from you.
