We’re off and running in our Best Female Singers poll, so we’re giving you a friendly nudge to see if we can’t get you interested.
We’ve had nearly 60 singers nominated as we near the end of the first week. We can’t tell you who’s in the early lead yet, but you’ll find out the winner on Jan. 18, when we publish the results right here in the Listening Room.
If you’ve been reading, you know this is our fourth poll. So far our readers picked Jimi Hendrix as the best guitar player, surprised a few of us by naming Frank Sinatra best male singer in runaway race, and told us Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon was the best album of all time.
You don’t have to agree, but you can definitely influence the voting. And now we’re asking you for the best female singers of all time — any genre, any era.
Here are the rules: Send us a list of 5 to 10 of the best female singers of all time and we’ll add your votes to the total. No need to put them in order, because each name that pops up on a list gets one vote. At the end the singer with the most votes wins.
We look forward to hearing from you.
