We started with Stevie Vai and Ronnie Montrose and ended with Eddy Shaver and Malcolm Young. Well, it’s not really the end, but you get the idea.
We’ve reached another hallmark in our Guitar Players You Should Know weekly series, where we profile guitar players who fly just under the mainstream radar — or that you simply forgot about.
When we launched the series in February 2009 I had no idea how long we would keep it going. But something happened along the way: We found a treasure trove of talented musicians, both alive and dead, male and female, from bass masters to guitar wizards.
And there’s more to come.
But in the meantime we’ll give you a look back at the profiles we’ve posted for you since we kicked off the series. Scroll through and see what you think.
See you next week.
Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson
