Do you remember the most memorable concert you attended in your youth? One Jam Band lover does, though there was more than one.
Peter Shapiro, the former owner of the Wetlands Preserve, an influential rock and environmentalist club popular in the 1990’s picked some of his favorite bands that performed at Wetlands for our Lohud Listens series on Spotify. These selections come in anticipation for Wetlands Preserve 25th Anniversary show at one of the venues Shapiro currently owns, the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester.
Shapiro chose musicians who range from Grateful Dead lyricist, Robert Hunter to the hip-hop band, the Roots for this 13-song Spotify playlist. The 41-year-old, who purchased Wetlands when he was 23 — even included Blues Travelers, Bob Weir and David Gray — artists who have graced both the Cap and the now closed TriBeCa-based venue.
